THE RAINBOW BABY PROJECT:
Little Things with Great Love
“A rainbow baby is a baby who is welcomed into a family after they have experienced a loss due to miscarriage, stillbirth, or neonatal death. It is the understanding that the beauty of a rainbow does not negate the ravage of the storm. When a rainbow appears, it doesn’t mean that the storm never happened or that the family is still not dealing with its aftermath. What it means is that something beautiful and full of light has appeared in the midst of the darkness and clouds.”

What Inspired This Project?
This special project was placed on my heart by the Lord in the fall of 2017. He is creator of all things and has woven together the tapestry of this project. Revealing to me each step over this past year. I choose to use my talents as a photographer to bring glory to His name even in the darkest moments.
1 in 4 women suffer a miscarriage or infant loss. When looking among the women around me I was overwhelmed by the large number of women in my circle who are 1 in 4, some of them repeatedly. I applaud them all for showing the strength, bravery, and vulnerability to share their stories with me over the years. To all of my 20+ friends who have shared their stories of love and loss, I continue to pray for you and may the lives of your angel babies be honored, their memories forever shared, and their names always spoken out loud.
