This is one of my most recent newborn sessions and I just loved everything about it. This family came from Eden Prairie to Belle Plaine for their baby girl’s first photo shoot. They wanted rich earthy colors with greens, maroon and gold, but also some soft pink and creams too.  Baby Maddie loved to be swaddled up. She was probably one of the best sleepy babies I have had in the studio. She didn’t even wake up for a diaper change in the middle of her session.

We were able to get some beautiful and memorable photos with both parents.  I also love the black and white images we captured. These images with just the parents hands and arms are perfect for families that don’t want to worry about getting all dressed up for their sessions, but still want to be incorporated. It highlights the teeny tiny size of your newborn and also the connection between family.

And it would be a crime not to mention baby Maddie’s amazing head of hair. It was so long in the back and so thick.
